Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the Junior Engineer Examination 2026 notification for recruitment to various Junior Engineer posts in Government of India organizations/offices. The examination will also be conducted for the Scientific Assistant post in the India Meteorological Department (IMD). A total of 1,748 tentative vacancies have been notified. Eligible candidates can submit their online application from 02 September 2026 to 22 September 2026. The application fee can be paid up to 23 September 2026, while the correction window will remain open from 28 to 30 September 2026. Paper-I is tentatively scheduled for October/November 2026 and Paper-II for December 2026. Candidates should check the complete notification for post-wise qualifications and conditions.
