Selection Process:
- Paper I – General Teaching & Research Aptitude
- Paper II – Subject-specific examination
- Candidates must qualify in both papers as per the applicable eligibility/qualifying criteria.
- Candidates who meet the required criteria are considered qualified in CG SET for eligibility for the post of Assistant Professor.
- The examination authority's rules and criteria determine the final qualifying status.
Important: CG SET is an eligibility test, not a direct recruitment examination. Clearing the SET makes a candidate eligible for consideration for Assistant Professor posts, subject to the recruitment rules of the concerned institution/authority.
Candidates should carry the following items to the examination centre:
- Printed copy of the complete CG SET 2026 Admit Card.
- Original valid photo identity proof.
- Black or blue ball-point pen.
Accepted original photo ID examples reported in the examination instructions include:
- Aadhaar Card
- Voter ID Card
- PAN Card
- Driving Licence
The admit card should be printed as instructed, and candidates should carefully check their personal details, paper, exam district, centre, and timing before appearing for the examination.

- Open the Candidate Profile/Login section.
- Log in using the credentials available in your registered profile.
- Find the SET26 / Chhattisgarh State Eligibility Test 2026 Admit Card option.
- Open the admit card download link.
- Download the complete admit card.
- Check your name, roll number, paper, examination district, centre, and other details.
- Print the complete admit card as required for the examination.
- Keep the admit card and original photo ID ready for exam day.
The board does not send the admit card through post; candidates are required to download it online through the profile facility.
